The Perry Park Metropolitan District

The Perry Park Metropolitan District (PPMD) is a quasi-municipal district and a political subdivision of the State of Colorado.  It was chartered in 1977 to oversee the development of public facilities within the boundaries of the Perry Park Ranch development.

Originally formed primarily to complete the Park’s road system, which is now maintained by the county, the board’s current responsibilities include fire mitigation, emergency preparedness, building and maintaining park and recreational facilities, overseeing weed and pest control, traffic safety services and maintenance of open space land owned by the district.  The district finances its operations through a special district property tax.

Essential services such as fire and police protection and utilities are provided by the appropriate local agencies or servicing companies.

The district board consists of five residents of the Park who are elected by resident voters to four-year terms  to oversee the business of the district and to manage its assets.
